This weekend was insane – really, it was worse than trying to decorate a house with toothpicks, yarn, and neon finger paint (although I’m sure somebody has done that and somewhere it’s modern art). But the good news is, I got stuff done. The bad news is, I fell behind in my blog reading/posting. Fortunately, I have blog friends who not only love me enough to give me a fun little award, but also know me well enough to know that I may need a reminder that something has happened.
Jess Peak from Good Girl Gone Glad gave me my very first blog award!!
To accept this, all I have to do is list ten things that I like, and pass the award along to ten other blogs that I think are amazing! So, my ten favorite things are:
- Being married. So far it really is all it’s cracked up to be (that or I just married the most perfect guy)
2. Living in Colorado. Yes, it’s far from home, but you just can’t beat the views.
3. Cookies
4. Running
5. Mary Chapin Carpenter and Lady Antebellum (yes, I know, that’s two things, but they’re in the same genre…)
6. Decorating cakes
7. Showers – the baby and bridal variety
8. Simple and beautiful flower arrangements
9. Blogs (kind of obvious, but I’ve seriously become addicted)
10. 3-day weekends – can’t wait for my next one! We’re going here
And now for 10 blogs that I think really deserve an award:
- A Country Farmhouse
- Bogs of Ohio
- Decorology
- Ducks in a Row
- Fixing it Fancy
- Gillar Girl
- Julie Harris Photography
- The Farm Chicks
- Velvet & Linen
- Wide Open Spaces
Thanks for the great job guys, I’m always impressed. And thanks again to Jesse, I can’t say how excited I am – I wish I could have a balloon drop!!!

Thanks so much for nominating me for a blog award! That’s so nice and really means a lot. I love your the one on cookies – ditto.
This was such a good one! I totally agree about being married! =)
Thank you, Meredith! That’s very sweet of you. I’ll do my acceptance post soon.
