Spring Flings

Yesterday I did spring cleaning, which I like to refer to as spring flinging, because I spend most of the flinging things around trying to get to the bottom of piles.  I try to not to be too much of a packrat, but I do hold onto birthday cards, letters, even receipts from restaurants or ticket stubs.  But I’m proud to say that my life is a whole lot cleaner now.

True, we haven’t finished yet, but we’ve gotten far enough to take us through this week.  And one of my favorite parts of the weekend was spending just $70 yesterday to entirely re-do our balcony!   I have lots of beautiful pictures that I’ll try to post later today, but I’m just so happy right now that there’s actually space out there we can use!  All we need now are some little chairs, a little table, a  couple of outdoor lights. Whatever lights we use can’t be permanently out there because Boulder is CRAZY windy, especially where we are.  But I like the idea of just screwing in a couple of hooks and hanging a mason jar lantern on them when we do decide to eat outside.  It’s actually really beautiful, there’s a great view of the mountain sunset, and that’s hard to beat.

Well, time to get back to work for now, but I’ll try to post some beautiful pictures of the new, neat, and organized balcony.  And who knows – maybe this weekend we’ll hit up Salvation Army and find some great outdoor chairs!

Hope your Monday is going well!
