I love Colorado, I really do. But summer makes me want water and beaches, and Colorado is seriously lacking both of those amenities. Yes, there are reservoirs, but they tend to be overcrowded and, frankly, it’s not the same. I’m thinking of serious water, like the Atlantic coast kind of water. So in order to feed my fanciful imaginary life, I’ve been looking at a lot of outdoor/water pictures. Here are some of my favorites so far:

via Country Living

via Pottery Barn (I swear, it's the last one from PB)

via House Beautiful

via House Beautiful (not technically a deck, but I still want to be there)

via Restoration Hardware (he he, I said there weren't anymore from PB, I didn't promise not to use other stores' ads)

via Traditional Home
And now, for those of us who can’t be at a real beach this season, how about some pool/lake/reservoir worthy accessories:

Double Chaise Lounger from Target

Curva Outdoor Ceiling Fan via Bellacor

Hot Spot Urban Fire Pit via Bellacor

Galvanized Beverage Tub via Walmart

Glaser Folding Bistro Table via Overstock
Okay, not to rub it in or anything, but this is the exact reason why I love being on the East Coast! All my life I’ve lived somewhere from New York to Florida. My current home of Northern Virginia is the furthest I’ve ever been away from the shore. It’s a little over three hours from here to Ocean City, MD, and I know this because I was just there this weekend. Before you hate me completely, believe that I was enjoying the sand and the water and the atmosphere for you! I’ll post up some pictures later this week, too
And even though I was just there, the photos of the white porch and of the red boat in the fog are making my heart swoon for it all over again!
Hmmm, well, I am insanely jealous, but since you appear to have appropriately appreciated the experience, I promise not to hold it against you. I can’t wait to see your pictures!!!
Does your love of water mean you and Marty will join us at the shore some week in the future (future-future, not this summer) when we rent a house there?
We’re considering it.
Ummm, YES!!!! We would always take an opportunity to visit the water (beach, dock, houseboat, we’re not picky!)
